How to create a bug in Jira

Here’s a quick guide on how to create a bug in Jira:  

1. Open either a board view or any other. Click to create a new work item.
2. Choose to apply a work type. In the drop-down select Bug. 
3. If Bug is not an option, choose Manage type.
4. In the project settings choose to Add work type. You will see Bug as an option to add.
5. Add Bug work type and add required fields like priority, estimate, etc.
6. Now when creating a work type you can definitely choose Bug as a work type.
